Education and Training Level 3 At a Glance

At the start, we introduce this Award and Education training course that will help those on any of the Education and Training courses in completing their work. We also look at the old PTLLS qualification and how that was replaced by the Award in Education in Training level 3. If you require the full regulated qualification please contact us as we do offer this through our sister company ITG Instructor Training Ltd.

As a tutor, you have to keep within different rules, regulations and boundaries and these are looked at in this section. We then look at legislation requirements that can affect you as an Instructor and helping you ensure your lessons are inclusive, you respect quality and diversity. Finally, we look at incorporating icebreakers and energisers in your lessons to make them more inclusive and record-keeping to track learner progress and compliance.

In this section we look at what your learner needs are and how you can ensure that your lessons meet these fully. We then look at what learning outcomes are and how important they are in teaching and then we discuss learning styles and approaches to ensure you make your lessons inclusive. Then we look at the teaching cycle an what your part is in this process. The final section looks at teaching principles.

In this section, we look at the basics of planning a lesson. In a later section, we look at this in much more detail. We will look at what a session plan is and we also look at a scheme of work. You do not need in the level 3 Award in Education and Training to complete a scheme of work but it is important to know what they are. Finaly we look at incorporating functional skills into your lessons.

CPD or Continuous Professional Development is required in many. Industries and it is important that all tutors and instructors. Then we look at assessing decisions and what assessment is all about and why it is important.

In this section, we look at the different questions that you will have to answer and he to create your assignments in the correct format. We have planned this section based on he we have created the questions so these may vary if you are not completing your course though ITG Instructor Training. We look in detail about how you can answer questions and apply them to your world of teaching.

The micro-teach part of your Level 3 Award in Education and Training course is something that some are nervous about and confused about how to write and plan your session. In this section, we look at how to create a session plan and look in detail about the introduction, body and summary as well as all the information that you need to include in your session and supporting evidence. We also look at planning a micro-teach if you are presenting it virtually to your tutor.

Havard referencing is not required in level 3 courses like the Award in Education and Training but it is required in the level 4 and level 4 courses like the level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. In this section, we look at how to Havard reference your work and citing and referencing a book as well as referencing an e-book or journal.
