On occasion, you will need to reference an online journal and in this video, we look at the steps you will need to take. When creating your reference, you will need the following. The last name and then the first name of the author. The year of the publication in brackets. The title of the article in single quotation marks. The title of the journal in Italics, bold or underlined. The volume issue and page numbers. The name of the collection in Italics, bold or underlined. The phrase is online in square brackets. The words available are followed by the URL of the online journal with arrows at the start and end the word accessed. And then the date you accessed it in brackets. This will make your reference look like last name, first name, year, title of the article, the title of the journal, P1, name and a collection, phrase available at @itg-instructor-training.co.uk accessed 27th of September, 2022. Probably the most common source of referencing on web pages.

We can find almost anything we need to online. Should you need to reference a webpage, then take the following steps. The last name of the author. The first name, for example, is Slate Tom Keith. The year the site was first published or last updated in round brackets. So then it would read Slate Tom Keith 2022. The title of the internet site in Italics, bold or underlined. Which will then read Slate Tom Keith, 2022, ITG Instructor Training. The words available are followed by the URL of the website with arrows at the start and end. So your reference now looks Slate Tom Keith, 2022, ITG Instructor Training available at @itg-instructor-training.co.uk. The word accessed and the date you actually accessed it in brackets. An example of a webpage reference should therefore read Slate Tom Keith, 2022, ITG Instructor Training available at @itg-instructor-training.co.uk accessed 27th of September, 2022.
